About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Keep enjoy this trip around the world and meeting other people's culture and way of life... :)
PHILOSOPHY
Live everyday as the last one and enjoy every experience you can take!!
In fact, since we only have one life (unless I was mistaken) I tend to help those who didn't have the chance to get born in a more comfortable environment through my job, and use every bit of time to see my friends or look for original tasks and experiences when I get back in France.
Since it's not that easy as it often needs money, I take the philosophy of Irish people as the best (originally it concerns pints, but they explained it as a way of life!!):
"If I offer you a pint, you don't have to offer me one automatically; I don't mind if you don't have enough with you right now and probably someone will offer me one somewhere some other day!"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I was curious to see if I could meet up people from all over the world in order to eventually have a contact in some of the countries we'll cross with my friend. Not especially to exchange a couch but at least to know what to see in those environment and cultures...
Right after we come back, I'll gladly introduce you to my hometown as well in Montpellier!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Haven't welcomed people yet but had a great time with Tony in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, then Hideki and Kicoco in Japan. Very helpful and interesting we did chat a lot every evening to learn a bit more about their country, culture and personal lives... so interesting to me!!
Interests
Arts in general, curiosity about almost anything...
- arts
- culture
- environment
- cooking
- chess
Music, Movies, and Books
I really like movies, mostly of aventure but the ones giving us a picture of what's happening in other countries, as historical, war movies, are also very interesting.
I am mostly eclectical concerning music but my favourite style is definitely Hard Rock and Metal, which lyrics are way better than I thought when I discovered it through my friend.
I used to read a lot but unfortunately I don't take that time anymore; my best readings until now were Jules Verne and Stephen King, very different but both well written.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The farthest I've been was probably Phoenix, Arizona, in the United States, but my most amazing experience was when I've been working in Chad, and we had to go from one city to another in the deep East of the country.
We had to cross a 'ouaddi' (temporary river with strong stream that appears after an important rain, lasting 3 months per year) with our 4x4 and that chadian driver was every skilled, using the metallic cable and traction system to get us to the opposite side. However, we've had water to our hips and it lasted about 3 hours to cross only that 100m large ouaddi...
Teach, Learn, Share
French image in the world, Chinese chess game, and anything else to learn such as cooking maybe for which I must admit I might even burn the pan making eggs... :)
