I'm a cinematographer and video editor from Canada. Currently living in Australia. I haven't used CS in a long time, but I've gotten back onto my account because I'd like to plan a trip to Iran with my girlfriend and/or a close friend of mine. They both have different schedules, so whatever works out, I hope to go to Iran with at least one of them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have hosted and surfed in the past. That was about 5 or more years ago. I'd like to get back into it.

I've done CS in Europe (Paris, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Stockholm, Reykjavik, Manchester, Nice, Tallinn, and Lisbon). I've hosted some people while living in Nice, too.

I'm looking to brush up on my language skills, so if you speak German, Spanish or French we should meet up and I can show you around Subiaco.

Interests

Going into new grocery stores and seeing what the marketing/advertising is like in a new place and comparing it to Canada. Sometimes what is seen as an innocent label on candy has really funny innuendo or shocking cartoon nudity. That's pretty funny to me.

I like talking to older people because they seem to not care anymore if they're being rude or outspoken. They've got lots of good little tales that are theirs alone.

I like trying dodgy food, and that's gotten me sick in the past. I once got a really bad stomach bug (a polite way of describing it) because I got lured in to trying a chicken skewer that the vendor was using a blowdryer to heat the coals under. It was a street BBQ in Ecuador... if it were in Toronto I would have called the health and safety board, but I got caught up in the moment.
