The larger part of my time is spent doing scientific research (mainly Psychology, Neuroscience and Artificial Intelligence), meditating and connecting with others.

But recently I have had an explosion of different interests, including dancing, singing, calligraphy and photography. I have both an artistic side and a scientific side, which I am proud of.

Here are some qualities people have said that I have without me prompting them: gentle, caring, with integrity, a deep listener.

I follow a vegan diet, love the rain and looking at the stars makes me feel like life is magical.

I feel like the world is not in a good place right now. One thing that gives me hope is strong community amongst those who care. I’d like to help contribute to this by connecting with new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I am in a new place I feel excited and a little scared, and alive.

I feel like wings are not meant to stay folded, but should be spread wide. When I travel I feel like I am spreading my wings.

For me, places are made by the people I share them with. I grow with every conversation I have. I learn new perspectives on the world.

But I’ve found it can be quite hard to bridge into a community in a new place. This is my main motivation to connect with the Couchsurfing community. For me it represents an open door.

I like to ask myself, what would the world feel like if it felt like home? I think that this would include having people in different places with whom I can share warm-heartedness. For me, this changes how the whole world feels.
