About Me

Hi! I love being immersed in new cultures and experiencing how people from all over the world live. What people live on a day to day fascinates me --I love learning what others consider normal and every day that I would never had normally experienced.
About me - I am trying to travel more as it's something that I have not done enough of , I feel its a great way to meet people and discover more about myself at the same time. I love food and hospitality as I am in the restaurant business. Food is one of the best ways to get to know people. I would love to take you and your friends out to share good food, make new friends, and create new experiences!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Although I may not always be looking for a place to stay I would love meet new people on Couchsurfing that can show me around, I would love to take them out to eat as I believe eating a meal with people is a wonderful way to get to know them. I would love to meet locals and to be immersed in their culture. I am hoping with Couchsurfing that I will get to know people and places better than just doing the normal tourist activities.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - I love all types of music. Recently I have been listening to a lot of jazz and trying to play it. Would love to learn and experience what music you love as sharing music is a deep way to connect with people.
Movies - I love Sci-Fi. Growing up my favorite TV show was Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Books - I recently read A Year in Provence, really enjoyed how the people moved to a place they were not familiar with and immersed themselves in a new culture!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It may not seem amazing to others, but to me it is. Rescuing my dog - I couldn't feel more luckily and grateful to have her love in my life. I hope that she loves the life that we now have as much as I do!

Teach, Learn, Share

Speaking of getting to get to know people I believe music and dance are another way to do that - it's a universal human thing. No matter where where you are from music, dance, and food are all something every culture has shares, and that is a beautiful thing. My beginner music journey started about 3 years ago as I started learning how to play the saxophone. It's been challenging, but so fun and rewarding- I am loving every moment of it (although I wish I was improving more quickly). Let's go to a jazz club!
Dance - I recently started learning Argentine Tango (I sometimes take salsa lessons too, but mainly tango).
I would have never expected it, but I love it! I went to Cancun in 2022 for a dance festival, it was amazing with wonderful people.
Would love to meet locals all over the world and have them share their music with me as I love it all! I am also starting a list of music/dance events I want to experience as I travel (Carnival in Brazil, Jazz Avengers in Japan, Lollypop Lorry in Russia, Argentine tango in Buenos Aires, Luis Enrique in Miami, and more).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to take you, your family, friends out to a local restaurant you love! Also to music events!
