I am musician, artist, hooper and shaman-in-training. If you're into labels, you could probably call me a hippie. I've also been called a "free spirit", which I can get onboard with.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There's so much more to the world than just the corner of Michigan I grew up in, and I want to see as much of it as I can. But not just see it, but actually experience it, live it, drink in the culture of every place I go, and laugh with the souls I meet along the way. Sure I could stay at hotels and do the usual touristy things, but there's no substance to that, there's no adventure. I don't want the pamphlet-from-the-lobby experience, I want what's REAL. I want to breathe life deep into my lungs. What's the point if I don't meet people and hear their stories, see through their eyes for a bit?

When I was in high school, I was in a trade-skills competition called SkillsUSA and I won the national gold medal for the printing division of the contest 3 years in a row.
