Overview
About Me
I'm 28 years of age and currently living and working in Thailand as an English Teacher. I have been in Thailand for close to three years now and absolutely love travelling and experiencing the rich and vibrant culture here. I enjoy doing multitude of activities during my spare time and am always looking to learn new things. Travel plays an important role in my life and having the chance to meet and share stories with people from differing cultures is just as gratifying to me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I chose to be on couch surfing in order to open myself up to new and exciting adventures. From experience i found that travelling to new places can be greatly enhanced when you are in touch with people who know the geography and culture of a place.
Interests
Aside from travel i can easily get "lost" in activities such as playing the guitar, climbing/trekking, painting, reading and writing. I don't watch much TV although i do enjoy immersing myself in classic and contemporary film and movies.

Music, Movies, and Books
Starting with Music; I can pretty much find enjoyment from all genres although i have a strong leaning towards Blues music having grown up listening to the likes of Joe Bonnamassa, Gary Moore and Jeff Beck. Bob Dylan would be my favourite popular artist and Radiohead would be among my favourite contemporary bands. I tend to refrain from the gabble that comes out of Hollywood these days in favor of more independent film. Any drama, thriller, comedy, biography or Sci-Fi has the power to captivate me. Favourite film? that is difficult! Maybe the star wars trilogy if i were playing it safe. As for books, when i desire a light read i often lean towards historical fiction, particularly Roman based. If i want to ramp it up a notch i have previously turned towards the likes of Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, Joyce and Orwell.
"Dubliners" - James Joyce, and "Notes from the underground" - Dostoevsky are among my favourites thus far.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hard to pin point, but a 3,000 mile road trip in the U.S has to be among the most memorable things i have experienced so far.
