About Me
Who wants to write about themselves? Its the worst. I'm Cali born, Carolina raised, and I feel like that sums me up pretty well. Vagabond at heart, I'm adventurous and want to see the world, but I'm conservative, hard working, and love a slower simpler way of life usually. I'm laid back and usually pretty good conversationalist.
There is more I promise, but who wants to write about themselves?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm moving from North Carolina to California at the end of May, 2016. I'm hoping to find a few places to stay along my trip out there and beyond that when I'm journeying the West. I also would like to be able to host people on their own journeys. This is something I've known about a long time and am excited to finally be on and able to use both ways.

Music, Movies, and Books
Nahko and Medicine for the People, that old time Rock n Roll, Minus the Bear, I could name alot of music and movies.
Books are more important. I was a bible student for a long time, still am to some degree, and those lessons have impacted me greatly. I've dabbled in other sacred religious scriptures, as well as commentaries. I enjoy mostly non-fiction for sure. Alan Watts has been a favorite for a long time in non-fiction, and C.S. Lewis for his fiction and non-fiction. Shane Claiborne and other red letter christian writings are dear to me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Got lost with a friend on a trip to Curacao. We were trying to jump off a cliff and ended up a long trail that just ended at a point. We were barefoot and in swimming trunks in what was very hot, rocky, thorny terrain. We eventually cut our way through the thickets and cactus to an old dirt road. We waited there for about an hour mostly from exhaustion, and partly because we were still lost. Eventually a car came and lucky for us it was a couple from Kansas on their honeymoon and they drove us back to our car.

What I Can Share with Hosts
High spirits and energy, a grateful attitude and respect for welcoming me in. Also, this is a great economic benefit to be hosted instead of staying in a hotel or such, so I could offer to buy dinner or groceries, etc. The greatest gift is to share the gift of my individual self, to meet another and connect, share my stories, jokes, heartbreaks, and let you listen to the song that is my soul.
