About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To search America in a hunt to find the greatest flavours!
ABOUT ME
Originally studying at Strathclyde in Glasgow, I moved out to Millersville, Pa, midway through January as part of a student exchange from my home university. While I'm searching for internships and graduate opportunities in my field here in America, I've discovered over the last year that I have a real passion for entrepreneurship after starting a small clothing company with my business partner in Scotland. Although it's still just a tiny organisation, it's completely changed my mindset and I've found myself out here looking for new ideas and concepts where ever I can find them!
As well as this I have a real passion for food and music that I hope to one day incorporate into my search for the next entrepreneurial idea! So far I've not experienced much in the way of live music or concerts (what with living in Millersville and still being underage out here) but I taken it upon myself to hunt for the best food I can find (and hopefully one day take it back home to Scotland)!
While I haven't traveled too far yet on my hunt, that's why I've created this account in hope that it can help me reach some far away places in this fantastic country.
PHILOSOPHY
While I know the things that I enjoy and I have a clear idea of what I want to do in life; recently I've felt like I'm going through this kind of transition that's making me feel uncertain about the future.
I'm sure everyone goes through it at one stage or another and I'm sure everyone wants to try and resist it, but I figure what's going to happen is inevitable; and while I'm on the way to this inevitability, I might as well do the things I enjoy the most and see as much as I can before I become tied down by work, or family or anything else that could keep me fastened in one place.
Along with this, I want to meet as many people as I can and share stories with them - because even at this age I know that those are the things I remember most.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
One of my favourite things about group situations is hearing everyone's stories and. Everyone in the group, no matter how quiet they are, has something good to input and I like knowing that everyone feels comfortable whether just hanging out with old friends or meeting new people so that's what I make an effort to do.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't had any so far! I've traveled around a bit in Europe but mainly through hostels and hotels rather than couches. I'm excited to get the ball rolling!
Interests
I love cooking and honing my skills. As well as this I also love finding new foods and tastes. It might be a little weird to add as an interest but there are so many times that I'm taken aback by just how good some food is.
Discovering new music; I go through phases of different kinds which always keeps it nice and fresh! Along with this I play the guitar a little and enjoy it anytime I get the chance
I enjoy a bunch of sporting activities including cycling, basketball and swimming. Although these are my favourites, there's a good chance I'll like a sport if I try it!
I love travelling and hope to one day mix this with my love of cycling.

Teach, Learn, Share
I know a bunch of stuff about finance and the practical and theoretical side of marketing so there's a chance I could help out with either of those fields.
I know a few songs on guitar, I have a bit of knowledge of some music production software packages and I can DJ to a decent level.
Along with that, if you want to explore a kind of music I enjoy, I can definitely help out there. I've got a pretty extensive taste and love hearing about and teaching about different artists and genres!
I know how to cook 2-3 dishes really well (not much in the way of variation!) so I could show you what I know there as well.
In terms of learning, I'd love to hear about anything you know about as well! Whether it's specific places to travel or things to see and do or ways to cook or types of music or useful life skills and experiences or anything else, I'm always willing to listen and learn!
