About Me

Hi, I'm Johnny Kelly.

I'm from Bangor, Northern Ireland.

I like to travel, and have so far been to Paris, Budapest, Krakow, Vienna, Berlin, Rome, Prague, Brussels & Bruges as well as the following:

I started a 5 city tour from 8 Feb 2017 for 2 weeks, 1 day. 3 nights in each city.

I was going to be visiting: Bucharest, Athens, Sofia, Cologne, and Berlin.

*However* I fell on the steps of the acropolis in Athens and broke 2 bones in my foot.

I recovered from that, went to Warsaw for a week in April, and am now back up and about.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet locals in cities I visit and to learn about the people and places I meet and see.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have visited the ancient ruins of Athens, Greece.

I spent the entire time in that city just repeating to myself how awesome everything was to see and think about. Being in front of a direct, physical, link back to thousands of years in the past, and the beginnings of modern day civilisation.

Then I broke my foot and had to go home.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Humour; Long, thoughtful, and hopefully entertaining, conversations; Stories from my travels, and recommendations for places to visit.
