About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Friendship and sharing things; learning and curiosity also move me. Like people all ages; Good cultural level, art-sensitive and good-humoured are appreciated but sympathy and honesty are enough to set a good relationship.
ABOUT ME
That I'm trustful and know how to listen and keep a secret. That I like laughing as much as I like having nice conversations, have a strong personality and always try to see other people's point of view. They also say I think a bit too much:)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Have hang out myself with a friend with other couch surfers, in the beginning. Now, I have already hosted some people and have always had good experiences. Used to go to CS monthly dinners and weekly meetings here in Lisbon. Now, I just host, mostly in Summer, when I am more available to spend time with guests. The rest of the year, it depends a lot on my availability.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first CS was so far my only host, in Colombia and he was great there, as I tried to be here with him:).
These latest years, I haven't been able to choose my holiday time, so I haven't managed to make a longer trip as a couch surfer; but eventually, I will still do it:)...
Interests
Meeting great new people, getting to know different cultures, learning new things, laughing and have a good time:).
- theater
- dancing
- wine tasting
- reading
- eating out
- travelling
- cinema
- learning
- foreign cultures
- nature walks
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: rock, alternative, kizomba, classical....everything but pure noise, repetition or lack of melody - that bores me:)
Cinema: thrillers, sensitive and/or good-humoured (e.g. french, italian, Almodovar ones...)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have my best memories from travelling and people I met and shared good times with.
Teach, Learn, Share
I always think I have more to learn, but let me see....practising English, French, Spanish, (teach) Portuguese; Portuguese culture and history...not teach, but exchange personal views on films, books, music bands, but specially other cultures and ways of living and thinking.
Learn: the same I said about teaching; sharing live philosophies, views, hobbies, personal experiences. Cooking, because I like eating but know very little about cooking and like to practice with someone.(Sometimes, tips about how to fix or make things more practical at home are great (lol). The same about technology).
What I Can Share with Hosts
I usually host for maximum 4 nights and prefer it's closer to weekends, so I can spend some time with CS, but it's not a rule; I usually go sightseeing for a day and then join occasionally (the places most worth seeing, I've seen them a lot already:), so if I feel like repeating, I go with them, if not, I try to join on something new). But I think CS should go where they want to and make the best of their time, my company is optional. And most of the times, we meet at the end of the day. And well, I can offer a place to sleep and a kitchen to cook. I sometimes cook for people or offer what I have, but I can't do it everyday, so I only ask people to buy their things at the supermarket if they want to eat regularly at home.
