About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Take over the World, i mean... be a nice person and such.

ABOUT ME

I am a recent law school grad and currently moving between countries. All the way back in 2013 when I had just been accepted into University I had my first couchsurfing experience while travelling through Europe with my girlfriend. Since then travelling and exploring has been one of my priorities in life be it by airplane, car, train, bus, bike or foot I am always planning my next trip and looking forward to the people I will meet and the things I will learn.

PHILOSOPHY

I am still searching for a personal philosophy and in a way my travels are about trying learn about myself and the world. With that said I'm a huge fan of the Brazilian concept of Antrophagy, based on indigenous legends it means to "consume" ideas and concepts of the external world and bring it inside of you, making them a small part of you. This is what I feel my life is: learn from others and from nature to assimilate their knowledge into myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing to have rich experiences. People always carry with them interesting stories about themselves, their country, their culture and learning those in turn enrich our own lives, so to be able to stay with someone who is a local gives the opportunity to experience a much richer and more authentic travel. When I did couchsurfing for the first time in 2013 both times were highlights of the trip and I still remember my hosts and the time we spent together fondly.

Interests

Well it's kind of obvious, but travelling, specially to places with rich cultures and exuberant nature.

In recent years I have become specially fond of flexible ways of travelling, either doing road trips with no established end point, doing camping and hiking in the wilderness, city hopping by bike or by bus, that sort of stuff.

In short I would say my interests are complex and beautiful things such as culture and tradition, nature and the outdoors and arts in their diverse forms.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have driven all over Brazil, have been invited into family dinner in a rainy night in Japan, have won scholarships and climbed some of Brazil's highest mountains, but what I am most proud of is that I won my girlfriend's heart.

Teach, Learn, Share

Learning is one of my great pleasures in life, be it formally in a school or informally in day to day conversations and interactions. For this reason I have amassed quite a diverse base of knowledge about culture, history, law and nature which I am always happy to share with others so that we can all marvel at the beauty of our world.

In recent years I have also been fortunate enough to travel quite a lot and consider myself a treasure trove of tips and tidbits of the places I have visited.

I am also very proud of my cooking abilities and would be happy to cook with fellow surfers and perhaps teach how to prepare a dish or two.
