Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I want to see Canada from head to toe, urban to rural, north to south and yes, coast to coast.
ABOUT ME
I write a flash-fiction blog (killedonthefirstpage.com) with the intention of building a body of work in the genre. The thing about flash-fiction is that it's not the most well known of fiction genres. Perhaps it is so b/c of its relatively precise and brief nature?
Also edit a small literary magazine journal... inertiamagazine.com. Check it out.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in egalitarianism. I've had friends from all over the world; and so I've learned that no matter how foreign another person is to you, they deserve a chance to be known as a person first, and a nationality second (if at all).
I also believe that no matter how much you disagree with someone on politics or god that such things should never come in the way of, or prevent, a friendship.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I don't just want to travel to new places, but I also want to meet new people and learn about different cultures. Part of my university studies dealt with culture (not just foreign cultures, but domestic ones as well). I am particularly interested in English Canadian culture right now, which is partly why I look forward to visiting Western Canada in early 2010.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
As of today, my experiences have been limited to non CS activities. I've "surfed" along the French countryside, bucolic towns in Upstate New York, college dorms, rural Kentucky and urban cities like New York (where I now live).
