About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn, to live and to enjoy

ABOUT ME

About me? I grew up in North London, back in the days when all the kids could play safely on the streets, I lived a pretty standard life in Enfield until I could move away to university which was the best experience I could have asked for, it opened so many doors in my life and the door I chose brought me to Asia and now I'm here. Its the kind of place I cant describe in words in person or online, you need to see my smile and it would tell you a million things all at once!

I'm an easy going laid back type, and told im easy to get along with.

Whilst at university I worked, and got drunk hehe, in a busy student bar to save up a few pennies for my travels. As for my personality I'm out going and genuine, really easy to get on with and enjoy sharing experiences, speaking to and learning from people and having a laugh with an odd beverage every now and again :D

Ive been traveling around Asia now for 9 months, Ive lived, changed, learnt and enjoyed every moment.

PHILOSOPHY

He who does not travel is stuck on the first page

I wake up happy most, if not every, day. Whats the point in being down or upset? Life is a state of mind, Im happy with mine and thats the way I want to keep it. Dont get me wrong Im no flower-bearing hippie type (No offense to those who are) but I generally treat people how I would like to be treated and thats worked for me so far.

A smile goes along way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I pass on the couch surfing word to many a traveler.

This website is great in theory but when no one wants to host you even though you care about the culture and lifestyle of the place its pretty shit to be honest. I dont send generic messages, every message is personal but it appears that doesnt matter

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Im new to this now but I'm really interested in getting involved, Ive met alot of couchies along my travels so far and all have reccommended it to me. I joined a couch surfing event in Goa, India and met some really cool people.

I try to couch surf a lot, but it seems no one wants to host me!! Its great for meeting local people for drinks and food! :)

Interests

I dont have many 'interests' to put down, like im no mountain biker but I enjoyed it the one time I done it, Im no diver but I have my PADI licence, I like music but I dont play an instrument and so on...

But I do have an interest in socialising, meeting new people, learning from people, having fun, ending up in situations I would never have thought of, travelling, reading and just chilling out. And I love to cook...but Im no chef :)

I do have a massive interest in hiking however, being outdoors, on the mountains and getting into nature. Sleeping under the stars.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm terrible with remembering names so here I will list one band, one movie and one book. They might not be my favourite but they are up there...

'Snow patrol' have the best tracklist for long journeys

'Con Air' the ulitimate 90's cheese action thriller,

'The white tiger' by Aravind Adiga...because its not so intelligent that I need a dictionary as an aid. And it made me laugh a few times

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw a cow watching a snake charmer in Varanasi, India...that was something special.

Sunset on the great wall of china was pretty awesome too

Teach, Learn, Share

The one thing that comes to mind while in and around Asia is that I can help improve/ teach the English language.

I would like to learn more about buddhism, and meditation.

Also I would like to start rock climbing, Ive climbed a few fun walls in the past and once when I was way younger a rock face but never had the chance to get involved in it.

Countries I’ve Visited

China, India, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In

United Kingdom
