ABOUT ME

Johnny: I am a musician, I play guitar, piano, bass, and drums. I love writing music as well as playing it. I have always loved film and cinematography, really anything regarding the art and creation. I aim to photograph beautiful things. I study international relations and french. I was recently married in December, and am looking to travel as much as possible with my new wonderful wife

Isabel: I am a student, I study Human Development, I enjoy working with individuals with disabilities, particularly autism. I love reading, and watching documentaries. I enjoy cooking, and luckily Johnny does as well! I love being outdoors, and exercising. I love talking with and getting to know people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have not yet hosted someone in our home, but are looking forward to an opportunity to do so. We have had some great times surfing in Europe and the US

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We spent a summer backpacking around Europe. we surfed in 4 cities.

Music, Movies, and Books

Johnny:
Music: Passion pit, cold play, minus the bear
Movies: I enjoy documentaries and abstract films.
Books: East of Eden, Hunger Games, and any book I can learn from.

Isabel:
I love mostly all music except heavy metal, I mostly enjoy artists like ingrid michaelson, sara bareilles, Yael Naim, I also love the dixie chicks, rascall flatts, tracy chapman, stevie wonder, earth wind & fire, the list goes on!
As far as movies go, I really enjoy independent films or documentaries, but to be honest I am not very picky about movies, I can appreciate most anything.
I love reading, I have loved hunger games, harry potter series, potato peel pie society, the devils arithmetic, The book theif, born on a blue day, balzac and the little chinese seamstress.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Johnny: I lived in mexico for two years among the people teaching them what I love. I did an internship in Belgium at NATO.

Isabel: I worked at a camp for individuals with disabilities providing 24 hour care, probably the most challenging thing and also the most rewarding.

Oh and we got married ! :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a style of guitar that can be taught and enjoyed. I love to teach. I can do a Rubix cube. I love stories. I love talking. I love to share reasons for life and the future. And I don't read very well. But I love to teach.
