About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel the world and have memorable experience. Seeing other humans and their respective cultures keeps me grounded and inspires. I'd like to help others along the way in their travels.

ABOUT ME

I currently live in Salt Lake City, Utah and work as a Barista. I enjoy spending time with my son, reading, and writing. I signed up for Couch Surfing because I really like the idea of having an inexpensive place to crash, as well as making friends in countries foreign to me. This website is such a great idea! I hope to be able to host some people coming through Utah sometime as well. Meeting new people and hearing new stories is paramount. It's been a while since I've traveled and I can't wait to get out again! I'm stoked to meet new people in their hometowns!

PHILOSOPHY

Seeking congruence, and experience.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For right now I'll hopefully be surfing. Soon I'd love to host anyone heading through the great state of Utah.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None as of yet.

Interests

Reading, writing, film (have written and shot a few shorts), being a great father, spending time with close friends, going on adventures, meeting new people, maybe finding a companion along the way, and just generally having my consciousness expanded and clarified. I seek congruence.

Music, Movies, and Books

Hemingway. Thompson. Fitzgerald. Orwell. Vonnegut. Kubrick. Nolan. Coens. Marty. And of course... "The way your dad looked at it, this watch was your birthright. He'd be damned if any slope's gonna put their greasy yellow hands on his boy's birthright, so he hid it, in the one place he knew he could hide something: his ass. Five long years, he wore this watch up his ass. Then when he died of dysentery, he gave me the watch. I hid this uncomfortable piece of metal up my ass for two years. Then, after seven years, I was sent home to my family. And now, little man, I give the watch to you."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Met random strangers for drinks in Paraguay. First time I'd traveled solo. It felt great!

Teach, Learn, Share

"There are some things which cannot be learned quickly, and time, which is all we have, must be paid heavily for their acquiring. They are the very simplest things, and because it takes a man's life to know them the little new that each man gets from life is very costly and the only heritage he has to leave." —Ernest Hemingway
