About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel the US and world to fulfill my curiosity!

ABOUT ME

I was born in Chicago and have been in love with the city since as long as I can remember. I've come to appreciate other places as well. I've made a hobby of traveling through Latin America.

Assorted goods: I ride BMX, cook, DJ, play piano, accordion, and various percussion instruments, etc.

Nonsmoker. I have pride in always doing what I say I will and being respectful and appreciative of people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Working on it! I'm always glad to help people find fun things to do in Chicago. I'm usually down for some good company. I'd host more but I'm in a tiny apartment right now that's already kind of at its maximum capacity.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted a cool guy from Cincinnati. Then I brought my bike and crashed in several places around New York City. I had a great time with my hosts and got to really experience life in NYC. It was definitely the coolest thing I've ever done and I look forward to going back to the East Coast!

WHY DO I COUCHSURF: I visit places to check out their entire cultural vibe and the way they've developed for the people living there (as opposed to tourists). There's nothing I enjoy more than to get the feeling of being a resident in a city or neighborhood I'm not familiar with. I want to share this with visitors to my city, too... you're definitely not going to leave Chicago having just seen the stuff for families and foreigners.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I see something amazing every time I go on a leisurely walk or bike ride in Chicago. I love buildings and neighborhoods!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share a whole lot about Chicago and its neighborhoods. Each street, block, and building can tell a story, and there are thousands of these over Chicago's 220 square miles. Finding the alterations to the landscape and residents with passing decades compared with features which have miraculously stayed the same is really fascinating. I have lots of neat old photographs, too. I wish I could get paid to know all of this stuff.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, France, Mexico, Peru
