About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Find a couch (or couches) long enough for me to get back on my feet

ABOUT ME

I love to travel, so this site hopefully will help me meet other ppl who share the same passion. I'm short on money this year, so my travel opportunities will only be low-budget ones. I also play guitar and love jamming out with other musicians.

PHILOSOPHY

Hmm... Basically, do no harm...? Lol I study medicine and some of my top goals in life are helping people, living simply, and traveling as much as possible. Everyday is a learning experience, and you only get to live it once. I try to make the most of every day because... it's my life, what would I be waiting on? Mark Twain said if everyone was a world traveler, there would be no such thing as racism. I strongly believe in that. I believe we're all here for a reason, and I don't believe in coincidences. =)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd love to host, and as much as possible, travel myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have helped transport couch surfers for friends of mine that are freq hosts. The ppl I've met that do it regularly were really awesome. I've been familiar with the site for several years, since a cousin of mine used couch surfing to visit Ireland. More recently, good friends of mine from home have hosted, travelers, bands, vagabonds, and all sorts of neat ppl. Guess it's finally time I get involved myself, if I'm going to be trying to travel myself. =)

Interests

TRAVELING, MUSIC, BIOLOGY, ANYTHING OUTDOORS, ANYTHING THAT GETS MY ADRENALINE PUMPING. Hiking, biking, rock climbing, whitewater kayaking, going to shows, skydiving, good scenery, trails, HISTORY, ultimate frisbee, jamming out, geocaching, etc. Also, lifestyle-wise, I'm a vegetarian and try to live healthy and treat my body right.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going to Liberia on a medical mission in the spring of 2010.

Most put-me-in-the-moment-and-know-I-am-alive thing I've seen in the past year: watching the moon peak over the mountains in Salt Lake City.

Teach, Learn, Share

Music - how to play guitar or piano, genres, MP3 swap, etc

Love to talk politics and religious philosophy / theology.
