About Me

Yo! I'm currently in Thailand soaking up the sun! Headed to Cologne then Amsterdam before embarking on Scotland's West Highland Way! Super stoked, first time in the UK. Headed to Ireland after that. Yew!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on here looking to meet some new people, chat with locals and find some cool places to visit, collect some recipes ;), and obviously save a bit of money!!!

Definitely always up for a partner in crime but by no means am I looking for someone to hold my hand in their city! At the minimum I'm looking for a place to take off my bag and rest my head, at the best someone who wants to have a chat over a pint or coffee over looking a stunning view of their city!

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like what Kendrick Lamar and Kamasi Washington are doing with music. Always been a fan of my slow jams and love songs as well.

Movies, I can't even start. I watch a tonne of movies. Most recent one I enjoyed was Short Term 12. I just watched Central Intelligence with The Rock and Kevin Hart. I'm a huge stand up comedy fan, but Kevin Hart has never really done anything for me. I was dying in this flick though. He was cracking me up big time. And The Rock is always cool.

Books... I've slowed down on my reading recently, which is a shame. 100 Years of Solitude is probably my all time fave, but I'm a huge fan of short story collections. I also really like magazine articles. There's a cool weekly email I subscribe to called Longform which sends out a selection of great magazine writing on typically topical subjects.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've done a couple amazing things, without big upping myself too much. A friend of mine and I went halfers on a truck and drove 20,000 kms around Southern Africa. That was hilarious and so much fun. Couldn't recommend it more.

Another friend and I hitch hiked Sumatra over the course of about 8 days. So wild. What an amazing trip that was. Nothing like have zero idea of when the next ride will be to make you question fatalism and free will.

Teach, Learn, Share

Part of my travels is compiling a travel blog / recipe book. I'm stoked on it. Hope you can be apart of it!
