Live through love. Community is everything. Laughter cures all.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When I'm in one place for awhile, I host, when I'm moving, I surf.
That being said, I probably host more than I surf, and I LOVE it. There is nothing like just going about your daily life in Arkansas, and then having travelers from across the world request to stay on a regular basis. It really is a spice of life.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
All good so far! I've hosted a number of people and each has been very nice and unique. It really makes the world feel small. I have only surfed once, but it was a truly humbling experience, as I do not think it's possible that I could have had better hosts.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am a huge fan of fantasy, non-fiction, and humanitarian novels. These range from the Mistborn trilogy, to Perfect Hostage (Aung San Suu Kyi's biography), to A Long Way Gone.
You get the general idea. There are far too many to list.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
For six months between August 2009 and May 2010, I spent my life on the road working for a non-profit called Invisible Children. Myself and several other crazy/lovely individuals traveled in a van around the country showing a documentary about child soldiers in central Africa. We were able to find places to sleep off the kindness of strangers who agreed to take us in for days at a time to support our effort. Our goal was to raise awareness, but more importantly it was to give the people we spoke to at colleges, high schools, and churches a way to take action and actually make a difference in ending the abduction, rape, and killing of these children. It was a life-changing experience that broke me down and built me back up again. I truly cannot do it justice through text.
