I'm a relaxed easy going person who really enjoys traveling, meeting new people and exploring new places.

I've spent a big part of the last decade living and working on sailing boats around the world. Sailing is great because it combines travelling, nature and gives you something to think about and learn about along the way. It feels like one of the last freedoms being out on the open water.

I set off from Europe by sailing boat many years ago and when I got to New Zealand I bought my own little boat and sailed up to Fiji. Here I met my now partner Timo (who's Italian and an amazing cook!), who is managing the boat yard in Vuda Marina in Fiji... 8 months ago I gave birth to little baby Nemo here in Fiji! Timo and I have recently given ourselves a big challenge and both sold our 'normal' sailing boats to buy an old race boat together, which we are in the middle of transforming into a fast family cruiser!

We are hoping to set sail again later this year...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Timo, Nemo and I are headed to Australia for a week to sort out passports and get some boat bits. We'd really appreciate the chance to stay with some nice folks :) - it's Timo's (& Nemo's!) first time in Australia!

I love most music, but probably my all time favourite is Bob Dylan. I play the fiddle a lot these days so listen to more country and folk.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably when our mast collapsed during an Atlantic crossing, 600miles from land (about a weeks worth of sailing)! Then the real adventure began...
