Kia ora, I am Joy and I 'm from the beautiful Aoteroa (New Zealand). For the last 3 years I have been backpacking around south and south east Asia , central and north america.
I like to stay mindful and creative, and often find myself inspired by my natural surroundings. I really believe in living with intention.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to keep an open mind and am always up for an adventure. I enjoy spending time with like-minded people whom I can co exist and co create with. I hope that through couch surfing I can learn about my surrounding environment which respect to nature, cultural values and people from all walks of life.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy all kinds of music. I like world music, reggae, instrumentals and high vibrational music.
I enjoy reading biographies or autobiographies, as well as books on life philosophy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Learnt how to ride a motorbike in Hanoi (before knowing how to drive a car or a scooter), then drove out of one of the most congested cities in the world during mass flooding
Teach, Learn, Share
I am dabbling in a few things at the moment including learning music, arts and crafts and some sports like slacklining, yoga and surfing.
I appreciate giving and receiving, and am happy to exchange any help that I can be of ~ teaching English, help in the kitchen, the garden, meditation, sewing etc...
What I Can Share with Hosts
I play the native American flute and am learning the didgeridoo, I enjoy teaching people how to play too. I am also learning how to hula hoop, I can share some tips with you. let's share some good vibes together
