ABOUT ME

Questions like this always have me stumped but I'll try my best!

I like to think I'm easygoing, open-minded, cheery and laidback. Of course that's not true all the time. I am human, aren't you? :D
Truth: I possess a major Hermit side that is most dominant when I'm home, and Ican be quite shy with people I don't know, although somehow my close friends dont seem to believe that!

Bitten hard by a travel bug and went on an adventure in Europe in 2010. Got bitten by real (bed) bugs halfway through. 4.5 months was not enough to see and hear and touch and taste everything!

I spend most of my non-work time at home, either catching up on sleep or in front of the computer. But I also want to see the world and to know that outside the protective cocoon of my home/country, I can depend on myself. A personal challenge, I guess.

Long chats about everything and anything are good, so are exchanging ideas, although I don't guarantee I have many intelligent ones to share. I'll like knowing about you, your language and your culture, and perhaps you'll like knowing about me too.

PHILOSOPHY

I live because I have a life. I'm just not sure that I'm living it to the best of my ability. But I have hope, that someday I'll be able to truthfully and confidently say "I've lived a life worth living".

I don't host anymore, but I will go for some CS activities in Singapore. I wont ever forget the wonderful hospitality of my hosts during eurotrip '10. Hope to pay it forward by being an even better host when I finally get my own place.

I read. Mostly stuff that dont require me to use much brain cells, cos I read to unwind and escape. I prefer happy-ending stories, since I tend to read about too much death and destruction at work.

When I'm feeling active, volleyball and touch rugby are my preferred sports.

Mostly pop or r&b music for me whether in English, Chinese, Japanese or Korean. Jazz anything up with saxophones and I'll love it too.

Lots of romance novels, definitely Harry Potter. But go ahead and recommend me a good book, and I will give it a shot. Currently favouring books by Matthew Reilly and Malcolm Gladwell's Outliers!

No horror movies for me, thanku very much! Horror + too active an imagination = countless sleepless nights + lots of looking over my shoulder. Comedies, romances and Harry Potter. If you're not horrified by it, I'll admit to enjoying Twilight. As with books, I watch movies to escape reality!

I will endure another super-bumpy 5-hour ride in a blue van that reeks of fish if I can see that again.

Also, have you seen four adult-sized humans squeezing on one motorbike, going uphill on a sandy road?! Loved it!
