ABOUT ME
Overall I am an average European. I consider myself multi-national, as I have moved countries some times. I mostly grew up in northern Norway and Germany, so that makes me Ger-wegian I guess :)
I love hiking, running and being outside altogether. But also Art, Design and being crafty. Baking and decorating cakes is just as much fun as scrapbooking, sewing and painting. When going out, I enjoy going to the cinema, art galleries, and nice bars.
I am currently studying Architecture in Karlsruhe. I live here in Freiburg e in a 2-Bedroom Flat overlooking the Dreisamtal, together with my boyfriend. I am quite enjoying it although the commute has me occupied a bit more than I wish.
PHILOSOPHY
It is not the destination, it is the glory of the ride.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I look forward to host people who are sincere and do not send me copy and paste messages.
I have done a bit of couchsurfing, maybe there will be some more in the future. Having a dog sort of limits my possibilities a bit...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had an amazing time so far and I hope to see many more places and meet many more kind, open and fun people!
Most I enjoyed when people took their time to show me around and integrated me as if we had been friends for a long time. Also the kind of trust I have been shown was amazing.
Interests
I want to be an architect. Now I know that is a fancy way of saying I want to build with bigger bricks than Lego. I am also keen on art and any type of design (print&media, furniture etc.) and sewing, crocheting etc.
I like cooking - sometimes with inspiration of cookbooks but mostly I try to figure out in my head what stuff would taste like together and then I cook the "creations". So far no one has complained :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy tooo much to write it all down here, but here are some keywords:
MOVIES: I absolutely adore french Films such as Les Choristes and Amelie but I am also up for any romantic movie (Pride&Prejudice, Love Actually etc.) or funny and/or animated ones. I have the habit though of reading actors lips so I get very obnoxious when the movies are dubbed like often here in Germany. In Freiburg we have a cinema that has original soundtracks, that is really enjoyable.
MUSIC: Generally I'll listen to Indie and Rock. But I do also like some occasional Jazz or classical music.
BOOKS: I read all the time and anything. My latest favourites are: The book thief (Markus Zusak), and The secret life of bees (Sue Monk Kidd) and The Hundred-Year-Old Man who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared (Jonas Jonasson)
WARNING: Generally I will watch, listen to and read almost anything. The only exception to that is scary stuff. I will refuse to watch or read anything remotely scary. Note: my scale of what is scary and what is not is comparable to a 7 year old. And yes, I found the last Harry Potter really really terrifying. Especially when the snake came.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am pretty sure I have done plenty of things that others would find amazing, ask me about it!
Teach, Learn, Share
I am willing to share/teach anything I have learned so far. This includes: English, German, Norwegian and Danish, cooking (everything from apple sauce to sushi), baking, building IKEA funiture, painting walls, hanging pictures, gardening, skiing, horse riding, dog training, and sewing.
