About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To survive five months overseas away from all family and friends
ABOUT ME
I work as a bartender at a lounge/bar/resaurant in Melbourne. Im also studying a double degree of Arts and Law at Monash University. Arts isn't actually very arty, it's more like Humanities, and Im majoring in Philosophy. Im a bit of a hippy, in that I love animals and Im a vegetarian and a bit environmental, but generally really easy-going and up for pretty much anything. At the moment I'm over in Europe for a semester to study with my university, living and studying in Florence and travelling as much as possible in between!
Before this particular overseas experience, all the travelling I had done was with my family, so I only ever went to really touristy areas and never got to really experience the culture and atmosphere of any of the places I visited. Now that I have lived in both England and Italy, Ive decided that this is by far the most important part of the adventure! I absolutely love meeting people from all over the world and getting to see how their thinking and experience of the world differs from my own.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Being very new to the CS network, I haven't done any participating as of yet, but I hope to begin as soon as possible!
Interests
Im a pretty sporty person, I've played almost every sport thats available to be played at school, but basketball is my true love, Ive played semi-professionally for a couple of years, but now I just do it for fun.
I really love just hanging out and chilling with friends, but I also love going out on the town when Im in the mood. Basically anything that's gunna be a good time Im up for.
I also love having long involved conversations on pretty much any topic, as I am hugely passionate and opinionated on most things that I know anything about. However light-hearted chats are a nice change for me too.

Music, Movies, and Books
My taste is pretty much eclectic in all categories. I dont like techno or pop music, and I refuse to sit down and watch any singer turned actor in a movie (eg Brittany Spears) but other than that its all good.
Teach, Learn, Share
Anyone who's up for learning English I'm happy to teach, especially if its in exchange for learning your language! Anyone who's into sports I'd be glad to join in, and I could always teach you about Australian Rules football...
I really love learning the history, language and culture of other countries, so if anyone feels like just sitting down and talking about where they're from, I could listen for hours. Also, if anyone knows how to surf (not just couches), or how to play the piano, I have always wanted to learn and would be a great student, I promise!
