Overview
About Me
I am a friendly, optimistic and supportive person. I like to learn about the different ways we live together in this world. I enjoy it when people are happy and want to spread that feeling.
PHILOSOPHY
You can learn something from everyone. Sometimes we have to listen carefully, but we can always learn something for us and our lives.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Being open minded and trying to learn about other people and cultures while telling about my culture, therefore hopefully helping to undo prejudice and misinformation.
如果你会说中文我也会帮助你。有什么关于柏林或者德国的问题就给我联系吧。
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I traveled in Hawaii and met some really nice people on the islands! I went to California afterwards, traveled around Chicago (Milwaukee, Madison, Columbus, Pittsburgh), arrived at the East Coast in Washington DC, relaxed in Delaware, did sight seeing in Philadelphia, visited friends in Buffalo and left the States from New York. After some time in Japan (Tokyo, Utsunomiya, Hiroshima, Fukuoka) I took a ferry to Seoul and also visited many smaller cities in South Korea. In the same year I visited Hong Kong and Macao. In 2013 I traveled China for about six weeks and did Couch Surfing in Jinghong, Yunnan. I had a great time with all the people I met and looking forward to future experiences! 2014 my girlfriend and I couchsurfed in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan.
Interests
I am interested in music, literature, nature and other cultures. I want to learn how other people get through their life, how they seek happiness and strive for a better world and hope I can learn from them. I would love to learn how to cook some vegetarian dishes from your country!

Music, Movies, and Books
I read "Black Elk Speaks". A wonderful book! The Movie "Mary & Max" is made with much love. For Music, I am a big fan of Elbow, Teitur and Dota (German singer-songwriter). If we meet, you could introduce me to some good books or music! I love to see and hear new things!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Meeting an Atom Bomb Survivor on the train to Hiroshima, playing guitar with my brother and seeing the springtime come after a long winter. Also, seeing huge turtles gliding through crystal clear water in Hawaii, meeting a bear 1 on 1 in Yosemite NP, walking the city wall of Nanjing with a good friend, feeding an elephant, watching humpback whales in Australia.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am not sure what I can teach you, but I can share some things about living in Asia, cooking vegetarian dishes or playing guitar. I can also talk about German culture and history, especially about my hometown Berlin.
