About Me

So, I've had this account for nearly a decade but never really got to use it. I work in the university as a researcher in political science.

I've lived in both boring and cool cities -- Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro, Santiago, Lund/Malmo, Sheffield, Manchester, and now... Berlin! For work purposes, I travel quite often.

I love to discuss politics, culture, fitness, food, literature (sometimes), and I do enjoy going out for drinks and food. I have made friends from all over the world and I'm interested in sensible conversations with people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I always wanted to meet cool people who have seen the world, are independent and can tell a story that would fascinate me. Those who like sports, hiking, and cycling would be interesting to me as well.

I don't know what to expect but I've heard lots of great things about this website!

Interests

I work on and for International Development so if you've picked up a book on poverty, mining, or human rights, I'd be up for a debate. Otherwise, we can talk about crossfit and sports and you can help me sort out my diet..

Music, Movies, and Books

Isabel Allende, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Gabriela Mistral, Pablo Neruda.

I write books...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelled to Northern Chile to interview mining workers. I distinctly remember the full moon in Antofagasta reflected on the Pacific Ocean.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've learned to survive in different places - those where I speak the language and those that I can't. Be adventurous. And take risks.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Would love to bring a nice bottle of wine while talking about mundane and profound things in life.
