ABOUT ME

I'm a 1st year PhD student in Optics, but I spend most of my time playing music, or listening to it. I think I'm quite open-minded, if you have anything to make me discover, I'd be glad to hear about it !

PHILOSOPHY

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A friend made me discover CouchSurfing at the beginning of my summer break ... barely one month later, I was surfing in the Canary Islands, meeting great people thanks to this website ... This was definitely an incredible experience !

Interests

I basically like everything that has to do with the arts : Painting, design, architecture, cinema, sculpture ...
I'm particularly fond of music, I play various instruments : guitar, banjo, harmonica ... I also play the traditional Transylvanian viola (kontra). I mostly listen to jazz, rock, and traditional music from Europe (and particularly eastern Europe, and even more particularly Hungarian and Transylvanian) and from the USA. I also like experimental music (minimal music, electroacoustic music, free improvisation ...)
But I'm also interested in science, and especially cosmology.

Books :
I read lots of comic books. My favourite authors are Zviane, Boulet, Marjane Satrapi, Winshluss, Carl Barks, Keno Don Rosa, Marcel Gotlib, René Goscinny ...

Arriving into a Romanian gipsy village on a horse cart, what was quite unexpected.

Teach, Learn, Share

I guess I can teach you some guitar, banjo or traditional Transylvanian viola (for those interested...). But I'm very far from introducing myself as a teacher. Nonetheless I can probably help you with your French !
