Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of my passions in life is to meet new people and see how they live. Travelling exposes the strings that tie us all together, that we aren't so different from one another. Similarities out number the differences, exponentially. We live in a society heavily focused on the few differences, disregarding the world of similarities. Glorifying the survival of the fittest, making winners and so, losers. It is through the similarities, and realizing there is someone, not so much different than you, behind every set of eyes, that we find happiness and a sense of belonging.
We are all leaves on the same tree. ^.^

Interests

I'm fascinated by the way all things, people, grow and change. I'm interested in exposing similarities to nurture acceptance. Along with working toward guaranteed, suffer free existence for all living and being on Spaceship Earth (survival needs like food and shelter.. good luck with your heart!). I'm interested in religions and other attempts to explain the unexplainable. Life is about the ability to wonder.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is my favourite thing, so it's hard to pick favourites. Depending on my mood, I enjoy finding good music from most every genre. I'm a classically trained vocalist for 10 years but when performing, I love Jazz and Rock 'n' Soul. My favourite singers are Ella Fitzgerald, Amy Winehouse, Jim Morrison, Brad Nowell, Stevie Nicks, Alanis Morrisette, Joni Mitchell, Whitney Houston, John Denver, Nat King Cole, Otis Redding to name a few. Movies are A Clockwork Orange (anything by Stanley Kubrick), any and all horror movies, Enter the Void, Pump Fiction,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Performed the Canada and USA anthems solo for NHL games for 20 000 people at the Air Canada Centre and for millions on live TV for Hockey Night in Canada.
