Living in Berlin since August 2011, enjoying every bit of it. Working in a Kindergarten.

Born and raised in Sweden by Finnish parents.

Outgoing, dynamic, talkative, love to travel, have a weird passion for Germany (that pushed me to move to Berlin), a proud aunt, like going out, throwing parties and arranging activities (but can truly enjoy a good cup of coffee a nice book or movie as well). Have a big love for meeting new people and getting to know people from different cultures and through travels, the international comitté in my university and involment in an cultureexchangeorganization in Stockholm I have been doing so for quite a few years now.

I lived in India for 6 months through University. Mainly Pune but also travelled south to Goa and Kerala and north through Rahjastan. Worked in orphanages, tribal villages, hospitals, slumareas and met a lot of wonderful, inspiring people. It was amazing to put it in one word.

Also lived one year in Cambridge, UK while working as a volunteer in an homeless shelter (where I also had the privilige of staying with the clients) and in a studentbar where some some of the clients as the rest of the lovely locals of the beautiful town of Cambridge came for pints. It was a great year that challenged a lot of my prejudices and taught me a lot about myself and who I want to be.

Just decided to start hosting a bit again wont be doing it too much though. If I can't host you I am still up for meeting up for a coffee/beer and show you why I fell for Berlin.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed Berlin a few times and Barcelona, attented meetings both in Berlin and Stockholm and have been Hosting a bit. CS is great!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One experience that stands out is when I stayed with a tribal family in their house in a completly rural area in Maharashtra, India were noone spoke any English and I didnt really know when I would be picked up again. It was magical sitting with the young girls in the family by a road in the very dark evening listening to the nature surrounding us and their singing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have been giving basic Swedish classes before and enjoy doing so. Enjoy learning new languages and especially Spanish, Hebrew and sign-language atm. Love getting to know new music and can probably introduce you to some new Swedish stuff since I am quite patriotic when it comes to music.
