我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Meeting new people, getting the chance to see the city as a local and the unique feeling you get.. DO I need to say more?!

I have worked as a volunteer for the organisation ESN (Erasmus Studenten Network) in Antwerp for over 3years and got jealous every time new students arrived. Having spend my Erasmus/study abroad period in Kolding, Denmark I leaned a whole new level of traveling. I just can't go back to the touristy way of travelling and want to meet the locals and see all the inside beauty of the places I visit.

I have guided and welcomed over 2000 international students in the beautiful city of Antwerp and I am so grateful that the couchsufers who have hosted me before have given me that same heartwarming welcome in their city.

兴趣

I have always been passionate about travelling.
When I was little I was crazy about horses. I was only 5 years old when I discovered that you could just jump on a horse' back and they would take you on adventure. And this love of being in open air never went away.
Spend my time on different kinds of sports and being actively living my life.
Due to the crazy time consumer so called 'university' I had to limit my time spend on a horseback.

Recently I made one of my child dreams come true. I started lessons of ice skating/figure skating. And I can officially call myself an ice princess ;)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

When I was 15 years old I decided to leave the little country called Belgium and fly to China. I did a summer exchange to the former capital Nanjing and off-course spend another week in Beijing too. My host family did not speak English, regardless to say that I did not speak Mandarin neither... Now I know the true meaning of a culture shock. I had the time of my life and relive this overwhelming and happy moment every time again when I meet a new host.

Traveled around the eastern part of Canada together with Elise Nys in 2015 and met some amazing people on the way. I had met and guided international students before, but was completely new to the CS network. I had a blast!
