About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Traveling through Germany, Prague, & Amsterdam to meet amazing people and find places that aren't on tripadvisor.
ABOUT ME
I was born in Queens, NY but moved to DC when I was young. I love the city life but I can always enjoy small towns and the country side. Currently I live in Athens, Ohio (an awesome small town you've probably never heard of) and I'm studying Media and Social Change
Traveling has always been my passion. Since I was young, I loved to experience new cultures. Everywhere I go I try to understand how the locals live. I'm very open-minded and can adjust to any living situation
One city at a time I want to meet new people, learn new things and eat lots of food.
MY PHILOSOPHY
"Injustice anywhere, is a threat to justice everywhere"
"If you don't know where you've been, you won't know where you're going"
"It's not our differences that divide us. It's our inability to recognize, accept and celebrate those differences"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I sometimes like doing the touristy things but whats really important to me is understanding someone's culture, living space and city. I really enjoy getting the local perspective from couch surfing hosts.
At my home, The Vine Co-op, we host many couch surfers visiting Athens. If you're interested in visiting let me know and i can direct you to our house's page :). There are 8 of us, 2 futons and endless couches so we are open to a range of surfers.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm a new member but I've had had some really awesome experiences couch surfing from having my own room to sleeping on the floor. When I'm a guest, I like to cook for my hosts or just hang out. I'm pretty independent. I hate to be a bother to someone whose busy so as long as I have directions I can get around on my own.
Since Iive in a small town I don't get to host very often. But I love taking my guest out to restaurants, parties, concerts and alternative culture stuff.
I've had only one bad experience with a host so please, NO CREEPERS
I'm not afraid to be rude about it.
Interests
I'm interested in anything different, new, exciting or weird.
Everywhere I go I want to try...
Food/Cooking
the good the bad and the weird. I like grocery shopping lol. Street foods and cooking/learning traditional foods. I know a range of recipes for various kinds of diets.
Music
My music taste ranges from techno, rap, jazz and blue grass.
I love any kind of live music, Love to dance,
Languages
As you can see, I'm only fluent in English but I've taken classes in a lot of languages including Spanish, French and Mandarin. I can speak a good amount of each but haven't stayed with it long enough to be fluent. I also know a little Vietnamese and German.
Museums
This is the touristy side of me. I like history. I feel it's important to learn a little bit about the history of a culture/country.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last year's trip to Vietnam was absolutely amazing. Such a unique and beautiful country. So underrated
Jamaica is a close second. Determined to see more than the inside of a resort I experienced the side of Jamaica everyone is afraid of I loved it and somehow made it out alive.
