About Me

Hello everyone! I live near to Warsaw in Poland in a village, but I work in Warsaw. I like to talk with people, but I'm more introvertic, that's why my favourite contact is talking face-to-face. I think I'm a good listener. I like to search what's going on in the city and I did a course for Warsaw guides some time ago, so I can give you some advices what's worth to see (but tell me before the meeting you want to hear sth from history of Warsaw, bc I don't use my knowledge and I've forgotten many facts...oups! ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a person who really like traveling, but doesn't want to spend too much money for it. Especially, when I earn in Zloty and should spend money in Euro (check the exchange rate ;) It's not such problem if I can travel with friends, but sometimes I want to go somewhere and I can't find people who want to go with me. Besides it's good to meet nice people with whom you can share your impressions, who can give you some advices, for example, worth's worth to eat ;) Of course it's a great opportunity to get to know about the place and life there from people who live in that place. And practice foregin languages. I still remember when some years ago I was talking with a woman, let's say remote relative, from Washington and I couldn't say all I wanted in English, but she knew Polish and French, so we were talking these three languages, even all of them in a one sentence and it was fantastic :) I felt sth similar speaking English with my Japanese sister-in-law, I mean that the language is only a tool, you can use creative if you need to.
I have my concerns about the idea of couchsurfing, so don't feel offended I will choose rather female hosts.

Interests

I like to be lost a little bit in an unknown city, to wander the streets, try local cuisine and listen to the street musicians when I'm in a foreign city. I like riding a bike to the woods near my village, it's really relaxing after a work day in a noisy Warsaw. I like dancing and I've danced salsa, now I practice a little cuban style. Besides I like reading books, go to the cinema or any interesting events and when it's cold and dark outside (read: from November till March) I sometimes use my creativity and decorate some wooden boxes (I mean I make decoupage).

Music, Movies, and Books

I like different kind of music, I'm not up to date I think ;) It's a mixture of pop, rock, jazz, world music, soundtracs, sth like poetry and religious music (I mean catholic). I like psychological books the most. And sometimes I like watching movies with a deeper sense, f.e. "The Graduate" (1967) and sometimes just beautiful fairytales about love (yes, actually The Graduate is both :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know what to say...maybe later :)
