ABOUT ME

My life dresses in bright, sometimes non-matching colours and has the biggest grin on its face. I like orange juice with pulp. I am vertically inclined, often barefoot, and travel on the shoestring. I'm a yeasayer. I am looking for flatmates for my soap bubble and passengers for my mind taxi driven by ideas. I try to be tolerant of everything save intolerance and the intolerable. I love my motorcycle (my only mode of transpo). I do behavioural research with monkeys and apes. I have made some of my best decisions by flipping a coin or throwing a die. I am a dog person (though I recently took in a stray kitten..) and house-trained (I promise!) I solemnly swear that I am up to no good. I love writing (and receiving!) letters and postcards. My blood type is B+, be positive! Oh, and I bite and smell awful. Also, I am 98% chimp. And 50% banana!

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

* Walked 800km/500mi across Spain as a pilgrim along the Camino de Santiago.

* Being helped out by locals, at the craziest times and in impossible places. I share some of my most treasured memories with people whose names I don't even know.

* Been seconds away from having my car (with me inside) flipped over by an elephant, getting trampled down by a herd of wildebeests, stepping onto a 4m python, and getting jumped on by a black mamba. -- I've definitely learned to appreciate life!

* Climbed dunes in the desert before/for sunrise.

* Petted a cheetah that was feasting on a springbok fillet.

* White water rafted down a river up to just a hundred meters shy of where it turned into a waterfall of 60m height.

* Kicked ass working on a boat sailing the Whitsunday Islands (Australia), snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef, and sleeping under amazing night skies while anchored off the islands.

I can teach you how to make sushi, play things (poi, frisbee, guitar, pool, table soccer, ...), swear in a dozen languages, recognise primates individually from facial features, statistics (;, how to hitchhike, climb, and survive snake bites, ... -- I can teach you tons of things but am always eager to learn from you!
