About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I just re-entered civilization after a month in the wilderness... Time to readjust and surf some couches!
ABOUT ME
I'm a kinesthetic learner, so I learn best through movement which probably is why I love doing partner acrobatics & partner yoga (Acroyoga) and group team building games. I learn people's names best if we tell each other in a circle with an associated action. It's really fun, we should try it!
PHILOSOPHY
I value honest, open communication, utilizing what you have in order to both learn and make the most out of your situation. Learn to manage your privelege(s) and know yourself first!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
It ain't always easy to host at a coop, at least when you're actually getting the consent of your housemates! I love hosting all kinda of folks, folks passing through, folks going to conferences, artists, students, full-time travelers, and all those in between. I strive to communicate honestly and help folks get what they need out of a stay here, whether it be resources, good surf, a place to stay for longer term, or just a couch and a stroll in the garden.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have used couchsurfing as a tool in traveling clear across the country visiting family. What fun it was to travel with my dear sweet Noa in her red truck Lucille and pass on Kombucha cultures, sauerkraut, canned goods, and kefir to our hosts in our journeys back and forth across the U.S.
I've also lived at several co-ops where we shared CS accounts and housed persons from the US and Europe. Now I continue to do the same with my own account and hopefully build a profile that will sponsor me internationally.
Summer 2012 was a wholesome CS experience. Surfed all the way from Palestine to Norway! Was lucky to find a spot on Midsummer in Stockholm as well, thanks to CS =)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spring 2012 in Santa Cruz:
Today the foggy mist was so thick, the visibility so limited... it was beautiful. I ran into the fog breaking hard lines in the mist as hard chaotic grey waves plummeted into my gloved body. It definitely left me awestruck. I feel so lucky.
Winter 2012 in South Carolina:
Today it was tear jerking to see my 12 y.o. cousin give my grandma a tender one armed hug in the hospital bed. He tilted his head down and touched her head with his. It was precious.
Teach, Learn, Share
Thanks Couchsurfing!
"This is the beginnings of the future CouchSurfing University, a school where everyone's a student and everyone's a teacher. Surfing isn't just about a place to sleep. It's about exchange. From esoteric knowledge to practical skills, you have special knowledge that others will benefit from knowing. Include one, or even a couple of items here that you might be able to share - and maybe something you want to learn! We hope that this will contribute to strengthening the quality of this wonderful community. Teach. Learn. Share. Let's do this."
