About Me
Hello,
I am Jolien. My English is not very good, and the writing is a hell... But I can manage myself :) There are a lot of interesting things to talk about, but let's start with a short introduction of myself. I studied social work. Afterwords actually I didn't think I had enough in mind to start working. So I studied some more. I also have a diploma as mediator and I am currently finishing studies for family science. I did my internship in de youth psychiatry, where you meet touching people all the time.
In april 2017 I started working in foster care, after doing some volunteer work for it. It's a very engaging job. I work with children, adults, parents, foster parents... I love to gain the different experiences. But okay, that's enough about studying and working.
I love life and everything about it. I didn't travel that much already (I have kind of a busy life) but I really like to see the world one day :) The parts I've seen until now - Ireland, Denmark, The Netherlands, Poland and Portugal - were already stunning!
I like going out and having drinks with friends. I'm a really optimistic and energetic person.
Life is just beautiful! I have some experience with couchsurfing. I actually learned it from my dad, who hosts guests sometimes. The stories those people bring are just amazing. It's always a night full of nice talks and learning about the world. Learned so much about life through this experiences!
So maybe I can learn from you too. I can't offer you a couch yet, but we can meet up.
Greetz from Belgium!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My dad is already on couchsurfing for like his whole life. He travelled around the world with this system. When I was younger I also travelled this way along with him and I really enjoyed it. The last months we're also accepting couchsurfers ourself and I already met such amazing people!
So couch surfing gives you another view to the world and to people. Just an amazing way of traveling along and to learn from local people!
Interests
I am a very busy person. I do like 1000 things at once. I have a fulltime job and work weekends in a bakery. I like going out with friends, having a nice talk, going to concerts, listen to music, enjoying festivals, reading a lot of books... I love feeling alive! When possible I travel abroad. My last trip was Denmark. It was a very nice trip. Although I travelled three times before to Ireland, and I keep falling in love with the country... Scotland is on my wishlist too, as well as Latin America (keep on dreaming they say).

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm quite a book addict. I read mostly drama's or romantic stories (yeah I know, women...).
I'm not really someone who looks at the tv all the time. So I don't know that much about tv-programs and movies.
Although I really like music! I almost listen to every kind of music (rock, metal, folk, pop...). I'm always open for new experiences. For the moment I really like: Kodaline, Bastille, Imagine Dragons, Avril Lavigne, The Script, One Republic, London Grammar, Bryan Adams, Greenday, Linking Park, Evanescence, The Scorpions... These are the groups I usually follow. But except for this I listen a lot to other music too. For example I also like the Irish and Brazilian music I learned to know by different couch surfers. Just amazingly beautiful! So bring your own music from you're own country! I surely will be interested :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can't offer a sleeping place 'cause I don't have my own house yet. Although I would love to meet new people from over the world. So let me know when you want to meet up!
