About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Having a roof over your head should never be the most expensive part of any trip a person takes.
ABOUT ME
I'm a huge geek. Sci-Fi, comics, science, astronomy -- I love it all. I recently got engaged to a wonderful woman with whom I truly enjoy sharing the word of nerditry.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm a mini-Taoist. Don't sweat the small stuff. Few things in your life really matter all that much, but when you come across something that is important, cherish it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Unfortunately, I live in a small place and haven't got much room for visitors of any kind. But, I love the area and think I know downtown San Jose pretty well. I'd be happy to show a person around or give them tips on things to do that they might enjoy.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've stayed with a few people, but my experience is really quite limited.
Interests
I really enjoy human interaction, computers, the internet, television, technology, geek culture.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Wasabi, Ocean's Eleven, Rudy, Thank You for Smoking, and The Professional
My tastes in music are varied and many!
As for books, I love the classics. Greek literature, Dante, Chaucer, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveling! It's amazing that somebody just getting by can manage enough in their budget these days to take one-week trips across this country and experience new places and new people.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm an academic, so if you want to discuss literature or debate philosophy, I'd have a lot to share.
And hey, this is silicon valley -- technology, yo!
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Germany, Spain, United States
Countries I’ve Lived In
