I'm a writer and TV producer living in London. I love every minute of what I do - even the long edits and all-night sprints to the deadline. I write about travel and have been down the Amazon, across China, through the northern Island of Japan and to practically every corner of Russia, where I lived for 4 years. Like most Irish people, I can talk... a LOT! So, don't be afraid to tell me to shut up. I'm a good listener too.

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy is to get as much done and to meet as many people as possible, in the relatively short allocated time. I try never to stand still, to continually challenge myself, to challenge others, to change something when I get bored. I also enjoy caring for the people I love.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I was hitch-hiking in the dark ages of 1985 (could that possibly be so long ago!), many people who offered me lifts, then gave me a place to stay, including a German couple who also asked me to babysit their child!! I made some friends on that trip with whom I'm still in touch.

Interests

Music - everything from Dubstep to raging guitar. Also listen to classical, mostly Russians such as Stravinsky, Prokofiev, Shostakovitch. Theatre, Books, Movies. A ridiculously huge fan of Formula One Racing, and also cycling, though my bikes have been neglected recently.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've traveled the coast of Cambodia, cycled across Sardinia and sailed up the Amazon. But I'm looking forward to many more amazing adventures.
