Finding things -- places, books, people, food, drinks. Taking photos, writing, being in that great place called "outside". In a few years I will have a house someplace beautiful, to grow veggies and have friends over for dinner and wine.

I used to study for a long time, doing literature, philosophy and similar things at the University of Uppsala in Sweden. Then I lived in Prague for a bit, and then in a house in the forest by the sea for a bit, and then on a mountain for a bit. Now I'm traveling for a bit, before going back to the mountain.

Work as a chef for money, take time off for writing and other things when I can. Sometimes work in publishing and communication.

I try not to eat dead animals.

I think at one point in time not too far away I will be like: "Done with this, with traveling, I never ever have to move again." But I'm not there just yet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I tried couchsurfing for the first time in Singapore in the beginning of 2013, and realized what a great thing it is. I've surfed more than hosted, mostly because my room used to be tiny.

Music, Movies, and Books

Last year I read for example Roberto Bolaño, Mircea Cartarescu, Julio Cortázar, Jeppe Brixvold and Olga Tokarzuk, who I all found fascinating. Also things like Samuel Beckett, Franz Kafka and others.

I like all sorts of European films. The one I liked most the last couple of years was maybe "Toni Erdmann" by Maren Ade -- or something else, who keeps track.

And I listen to a mix of things, but mainly pop and folk and indie of different kinds, and jazz, techno etc ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Trekking glaciers in northern Pakistan, trying all the food stalls in Singapore, camping on my own on a beach on an island in the ocean east of Borneo.

I can teach how to cook Swedish food, I can show you how to pronounce the Swedish word "sjuksköterska", and I can tell you all about what it is like to travel three weeks up a river on Indonesian Borneo.
