Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am driving from Washington State to Southern California and hope to make lots of stops along the way. This country is really, really big and I'm trying to improve my understanding of the diverse walks of life people have taken. I'd love to meet some friendly people and have enjoyed being a housemate with a CouchSurfing / WarmShowers host in the past.

Interests

I studied urban ecology in college, focusing on reptiles and soil contamination. So if lizards or dirt are interesting to you we'll have lots to talk about. I'm also interested in history, orchards, music making, and religion(s).

Well. I like science fiction books/movies. Currently, I'm reading James Baldwin. Homemade instruments are groovy. I like the key of D-minor but am open to other keys as well. I like Terry Gilliam movies a lot.
