Hey all!
I'm Jon, 26 years old, originally from Haifa, IL.
I study Neuroscience in Tel-Aviv University and work in a neuroscience lab researching human sleep (very interesting!)

I *love* travelling, seeing new places and meeting new people. I love the nature, hiking, seeing beautiful views and animals, sleeping under the stars with a bonfire :D But I also enjoy the city life, pubs and parties, museums and beaches (I've always lived close to the sea).

I like learning new things. I enjoy my studies very much (well, most of the time) and I also like learning history and languages. I hope one day to be able to speak with every person I meet at least a few words in their language. I also enjoy reading, cooking and some water-sports. Oh, and I play the saxophone, though recently not so much :(

I live in Tel-Aviv with 2 great flat-mates who are also students. You're welcome to our home and to our sofa, and of course, welcome to Israel :)

I signed up a few years ago looking for cheap accommodation. I've found much more :)
It took me a while to understand how this place works, but I think once you're really in to it, the experince is great :) I got to meet people and talk about stuff and see places I NEVER would've seen if it weren't for this place.
(oh, and the cheap accommodation is a nice perk!)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

in August 2016 I was traveling with friends in Mongolia. On the night of the 11th, we settled our tents in an empty field somewhere in the country-side. It was freezing outside so we built a fire. When it died-out, we were all lying together on the same field-matress, trying to keep warm. The sky above us were *filled* with shooting stars from the August Meteor Shower, and the Milky Way was bright and beautiful. I'll never forget that sight.

In August 2017 on the same day, I've done the same thing with my (ex-)girlfriend in the desert in Israel.
In August 2018 I've done the same with other friends, in a field close to Lake Balaton in Hungary.
I'm excited to think about August 2019 :D
