Overview
About Me
Hi!
I'm Jon a 23-year-old graduate,
I'm looking to travel the world whilst growing my online travel business, it's an early doors start-up at the moment so I'm looking to travel for as cheap as possible whilst doing all the things I love. A good travel experience for me is one where I experience the local culture and share common interests with interesting people from around the world (not to mention seeing all the beautiful places and tasting the local delicacies). If you can show me around China, you'll always have a seat at my dinner table if you find your self in England.
In my spare time I gym, run, kayak or play racket sports. If I'm not feeling active I'll listen to podcasts about business, travel philosophy, current affairs, take a mandarin lesson or practice my graphic design skills.
If I'm feeling lazy I'll sit with my dog and watch a movie.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Id like to travel and meet new people in a more personable way!

Music, Movies, and Books
The point of this section is to "find a little more about me" so how about a little travel timeline instead?
I caught the travel bug travelling through Spain in 2013 (Ronda, Marbella and Gibraltar).
I fell in love with island hopping travelling through South East Asia in 2014 (Thailand, Burma and Vietnam).
My interest in various cultures was kept busy in the old and new towns of Morocco in 2015.
My fitness was put to the test on every kayak, bike and running track I found interrailing through Italy in 2016.
I became a human prune bathing in as many natural hot-springs as I could whilst road tripping Iceland in 2017.
So far in 2018 I've graduated from University, got lost in the architecture of Budapest and watched the World Cup whilst backpacking through Croatia. Now i reside in Shanghai, China were i work as a teacher.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent 7 years training in Kung fu and got my Black belt when I was 15. Since then I've been the subject of more Mr Miyagi (Karate Kid) jokes than you can possibly imagine. However, I've been lucky enough to teach Kung Fu to children whilst at University, allowing me to make the money I needed to keep my travel bug happy. (I've added a picture in my profile so you believe me)
Teach, Learn, Share
I've taught English, Kung Fu, weightlifting and swimming for a living.
