Overview
About Me
I'm a pretty diverse person. Jack of all trades, master of none. I love learning new skills and enjoying new experiences that I haven't had before. My aim is to always be learning over the course of my life. I'm a pretty relaxed person; just go with the flow and enjoy life to the fullest. I love food too. If you offer me a meal, I probably won't turn you down, especially if it's home cooked.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people and hearing about their passions in life. I believe that story-telling is a lost tradition in this age. You can google a person's name or read their facebook page and seemingly know everything about someone. A person is so much more than the text on those pages. Is it really possible to summarize the whole of a person on a single page? I believe that everyone has a story to tell, and sharing those stories is what excites me! That is the reason I am on couchsurfing. I want to hear stories from people, and find new stories to tell others in the future. I want to learn and teach others everywhere that I go.
So why travel now, you ask? I am 25 and getting ready to enter my career. I figure that if I'm going to travel the world and experience different cultures, the time to do it is now. I am young and healthy, able to enjoy life to the fullest!
Interests
Recently been taking an interest in photography. Everywhere I look now I see potential for photographs. If you see a person wandering about the city aimlessly, that'd be me looking for that one great shot.
My interests are rather varied. Given the nature of my personality, I love to tinker with things, and make things with my hands. If its a hobby that involves working with your hands, then I will probably enjoy it. I also enjoy the beauty of nature, whether photographing or hiking.
- hiking
- backpacking
- rock climbing

Music, Movies, and Books
Embarrassed to admit it, but I love sci-fi novels and movies. The human imagination is a wonderful thing, and I love seeing the direction a story might go. With Sci-fi, the possibilities are limitless.
Books would include Ender's Game, 1984, Hyperion, The Time Machine, the list goes on.
I grew up on movies, so it's hard to just pick a few. I'm a fan of the Bourne Series, any Bond movie, Braveheart, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, etc. Movies that take you on a journey.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hammock camped in near gale force winds (38 mph) a few summers back. My buddy and I were on a 5 day hiking trip. Third night in, about 25 miles from our car, a severe thunderstorm came upon us. We had to pitch camp as soon as we could, which ended up being an exposed campsite right on the lake. Nothing to block the wind from getting to us. We put up our hammocks and draped our rain flys over the top. The entire night I didn't sleep a wink until passing out from exhaustion. Felt like I was on a boat since I was getting blown around so much!
Teach, Learn, Share
I love learning and teaching others. I think everyone has a skill and a story to share, and I want to hear it! I want to bring back the tradition of story-telling. Before we had technology and information ready at our finger-tips, we had to share stories. We told history through stories and passed on traditions through stories. I think that's really cool and want to bring that back.
Always be learning, because there will always be something you don't understand. Then share that with others, because they could be at the same point you once were.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love telling stories. I can offer good conversation. I can find interest and value in just about any hobby, which makes conversation pretty easy and natural.
I'm a decent cook, so if you'd like me to cook you a meal I'd be more than happy! Just ask, you are the host after all!
I'm always up for an adventure, so if you're looking for a partner in crime, I'm your guy.
