About Me

I'm an avid traveller, but not the sort that's into checking off a to-do list. To me, the best part of travelling is seeing how people live their lives in different parts of the world and being part of that for the moment when I'm there. That's also why I love languages, it opens up a whole new world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've travelled a lot more during my college days, but got busy with work the last few years. In these years, my world got a lot smaller, and life a lot more routine. I've recently decided to quit my job, and I'm eager to rediscover that big world again.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Argentina barely speaking any Spanish, and I remember the moment the plane landed and none of the announcements were in English! I actually lost weight in the next month because for the first part I was so lost I couldn't even get food (the internet wasn't great in Argentina then). But in exchange I found myself speaking Spanish in a month. Talk about a crash course!

Teach, Learn, Share

10 years ago when I told people I was from Singapore, lots of people actually asked which part of China that belongs to.

Thankfully, don't get that so often these days, but people still think Singapore is a really strict country with tons of rules, where people go to jail for chewing gum, and get shot for not following the lights when crossing the streets :p I'd love to share more about that and hear about your life in your own countries too!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to take you out for a drink (at my cost of course) and trade interesting stories. Couchsurfers always seem to have the best stories! I'll be happy to share more about my country too, and if you ever stop by, host you as well.
