Chi sono

CURRENT MISSION

I want to see and experience it all, and leave everything a little brighter when I go.

ABOUT ME

Currently living in California while I work remotely, I'm the kind of guy that's generally easy to get along with. I try not to never be an imposition to people while doing what I love... the Human Interaction. Nothing beats new experiences or the exchange of ideas with other people. These two things are what drive me to explore the world in order to better understand what makes each of us, myself included, tick. I've been to over over forty countries, many of which I have couch-surfed a little, AirBnB'd a lot, but mostly hosteled around.

PHILOSOPHY

Attitude and gratitude.

Life is short. So be swift to love; make haste to be kind.

"Live the life you love. Love the life you live." - Bob Marley

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I generally like to couchsurf with people who are going to be able to spend some time together, hang out, and exchange stories over a beer or two. Locals tend to have the best advice on where to go, what to do, where/what to eat, so any and all advice is welcomed!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Been on the network since 2012 after my roommates hosted someone and I decided I should join. After that I haven't actively participated in the network much outside of a trip where I was acting as a research assistant/photographer/editor/sherpa for a documentary on the European FabLab movement, but have been thoroughly impressed by the quality of people I've met along the way.

Interessi

I love to try new things and experience new people. Hobby-wise, I love playing soccer, snowboarding, and all things musical. Travel is not only a hobby, but was a way of life for me for about 3.5 years (though it has been about 5 years since I have really been "settled").

Musica, film e libri

Musical tastes vary substantially... I pretty much like anything that makes you feel in some way, be it happy, sad, awkward, or pensive.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

The most amazing thing I've done is just experience so much of the diversity of the world, from landscapes (sideways growing trees in a desert-like atmosphere on Aruba's windy side and bunjee-jumping in the majestic Swiss Alps) to people (crazy party scene of Acapulco and Amsterdam's Red Light District contrasting with the cheerful simplicity of life of the Chewa in Malawi).

Insegna, impara, condividi

I spent 2 1/2 years in Finance before traveling the world for 3.5 years, so I bet I can help some people make the first moves to planning for retirement, college-funding, and that sort of thing, or tell some tales from the road. I'm forever curious... I'm open to learning whatever you can teach me! I also have a ton of random facts about random things...
