About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm a laid back, fun guy who loves meeting people, especially while traveling. I believe exposing ourselves to new cultures, people, and experiences is a cornerstone to living a fulfilled, happy life. I think because of that, I immensely enjoy sharing experiences and getting to know others. I think every person you meet has something they can teach you as well as something to learn from you.

I've traveled extensively and know what it is to be a good guest. I know that the wonderful part of hosting people (and being a guest) is sharing a new, great connection with someone. Aside from being considerate, clean, and respectful, independent, easy going, and laid back, I genuinely like getting to know each other and look forward to meeting you in person!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't have a place to host with yet, but I hope to be able to use it as a guest in some upcoming travels.

Interests

I love to travel. Last year I took a year off from work and traveled to ~15 countries in the Mideast and SE Asia. I enjoy volunteering, meeting new people (especially fellow travelers), and geeky things like coding.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I wish I could name them all. I've spent a few weeks living in a slum in Dhaka, Bangladesh volunteering at a school and starting an after-school program there for slum youth. I've taught at rural villages, spent time learning from Buddhist monks, and hiked to Everest Base Camp. Most of all though, I've had the opportunity to meet countless people on my travels - some for weeks and others for a few fleeting hours - and have enjoyed each one immensely.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a geek at heart and love tech-things. I also am a photographer and love the challenge of capturing great photographs. I'm always happy to teach anything I know to people who are interested, or simply share travel stories over a beer or tea.
