About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To help my daughter grow up to be curious, confident, and passionate about life. Starting with keeping these qualities alive in myself ;)
ABOUT ME
Recently retired from competitive freestyle skiing, I am now adjusting to "real life". I am a new dad, and very excited about this new chapter of my life.
Outside of work, I am studying for a Bachelor of Commerce (e-commerce major) and hope some day to own my own business (though my business ideas are still changing from month to month).
I love good music and good company. When I think of a "perfect night", many versions come to mind, but one of my favourites is a night spent around a fire with good friends and a few musical instruments.
I am always interested in expanding my social group and meeting people from all over Canada, and the world.
Don't be a stranger!
PHILOSOPHY
Do what helps you grow. Continually strive to learn new things. Challenge yourself. Do things that scare you (sounds super cheesy and cliche but that doesn't make it any less true).
Fortune favours the bold!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've only recently got my own place so now I can actually host CouchSurfers as they pass through my neck of the woods.
I'm looking forward to hosting many people from around the globe, if I can't travel the world right now, I can at least bring the world to me!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Had a wicked time in Mexico City couchsurfing! Best way to travel!
Interests
I'm into studying foreign languages in my free time (working on improving my Spanish, and taking on a little bit of Russki now too).

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: many, though can't think of any stand-out favourites at the moment.
Music:
Love anything smooth and mellow. Blues, soft rock, hip hop, trip hop, reggae. Love instrumentals. Classical guitar is wicked. I bounce around between a lot of stuff, but always keep coming back to music that gives me a bit of a head buzz. The kind of music you have to lie on the floor to listen too. I would die without music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Volunteered and was a Forerunner at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to learn to Salsa dance.
And of course I would love to improve my Spanish (and possibly learn some other languages as well).
I could help with English, especially for intermediate level learners.
My French is also good, though I'm not a native speaker, it could still be helpful for learners.
Jam on guitar anyone?
