About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To build my dream house
Blogging at: http://backpackingwithabook.com/

ABOUT ME

I'm a writer and photographer in Cebu, Philippines. I scale mountains, trek rivers, comb beaches, hop towns, and take photographs, read books, and, yes, search for stories and poems. I always travel with my backpack, books, pens and notebook. Yes, I travel solo most of the time. For now, I travel to write.

I maintain a travel column “Down South” on Interaksyon.com—TV5′s news portals and write for Sun.Star, Bisaya, Manila Bulletin and other publications in the Philippines. I blogged on http://backpackingwithabook.com/

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It is always evolving. One of the best things about traveling, it has ways of surprising you.

>>I fished with locals at Dahican, Mati, Davao at three in the morning. I
>>I upstreamed Kawasan-Kanlaob system with two male friends without a guide. (It was a dream, that's why, they obliged.)
>>On our way up to Mt. Apo (the highest in the Philippines), we met three boar hunters and ate wild boar meat for the first time.
>>

Teach, Learn, Share

>>I don't own anything except books. My place is a perfect place for traveling readers.
