The most memorable parts of a trip are made when you meet people in a foreign place. Couchsurfing is a great way to make new friends, learn about different cultures, and just have conversations about subjects you never thought you'd talk about.

That definitely a) sounds like I'm advertising for couchsurfing and b) like every other bio on this site but what can I say, we're all here for the same reason!

I enjoy making films which makes sense considering my career path. In addition I do long distance cycling, I cook, I can program and build circuits (currently building an LED suit as a prop for a film), travelling is pretty great, downhill skiing, photography, and bingewatching entire TV shows or movie series in one sitting.

Film: Oh boy here we go. I’m basically just copy pasting my IMDb rating list because something you’ll learn about me is my memory is absolutely atrocious. In terms of genres I love everything. I can’t even say I have a favourite genre it really just depends on my mood (for example right now I really feel like watching Oldboy when just an hour ago I was breezing through Rick and Morty for the 4th time) Anyway some favourite films include: The Triplettes of Belleville (one of my all-time favourite movies), American Beauty, Seven, Usual Suspects, Her, Snowpiercer, Oldboy, Requiem for a Dream, Silence of the Lambs, Moonrise Kingdom, Rushmore, Grand Budapest, It Follows, Memento, Pan’s Labyrinth, Mommy, Airplane!, The Shining, anything Nolan, anything Aronofsky, The Incredibles, Boyhood, The Matrix, Dallas Buyer’s Club, Donnie Darko, What We Do In the Shadows, District Nine, Under the Skin, Lincoln, Submarine, Life Aquatic, The Iron Giant, and more!

Favourite film of 2015 so far: I’ve seen many movies this year but the film that I think I enjoyed the most was Me and Earl and the Dying Girl. That being said Going Clear was a close second and It Follows was my favourite horror of the last few months (even beating out The Babadook)

Climbing an active volcano on a 6 week backpacking trip through Europe was pretty cool. Other than that I'm working on a documentary sorta connected to couchsurfing and if you host me I'll definitely be able to tell you more about it.
