Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Saving humanity from itself through humanism.
ABOUT ME
I am a recent college graduate spending the year in France as a langauge assistant. In my considerable spare time, I love to read and play the string bass in a jazz trio and orchestra. I love to see live music, talk small and large, and discover new places and people. I like to cook while listening to music (hold the modern pop country please). I will be a teacher someday soon.
PHILOSOPHY
At my core I am optimistic that humanity can come to coexist. But I am certain (I won't say pessimistic) that the world as it is will change sooner--and sooner than most of us would like. I strongly believe that the return of intense regional independence will be the world's saving grace. All the while, I have learned the most from talks with other people from around the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I will be happy to host travelers to Chicago in the coming year. For the moment I have no couch to offer, but the day is coming soon. I'll make sure it's comfy to sleep on.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have never CouchSurfed officially, but I convinced more and more that the best way to get to know a place is to visit it with a local expert.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiking in Alaskan twilight with my father, I came across a mother black bear and her two cubs. We watched each other for a few minutes, she moved on and so did we. Magic.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a willing teacher of the English language--I even have a credential to do it! As a student of all things Francophone I am more than happy to help people improve their proper use of the lingua franca of our times. I'm certainly not going to impose it on you.
