Overview
About Me
My name is Jonas. I was born in 1987 in Germany near Hamburg. Since 2006 I am living in Hamburg. I made my second education as social worker there and started working with handicapped people, turned over to work at a school and then worked at a carehouse for children for 4 1/2 years. 3 years ago I started studying social work and working with teenagers with the need of social help.
I like travelling a lot and try to do this as much as possible. I mostly went to southeast Asia and India. now I started to discover other places. Since my studies I wasn't able to travel as much.
I like taking pictures at my travels but also at home I always have my camera with me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to meet people on my journeys, to talk with them and to get to know the places by joining them if possible. It is very interesting to get to know the cultures and I am very happy to see, how trustful people are, by letting foreigners life in their house.

Music, Movies, and Books
I prefer rock music like post post punk, post hardcore but also singer-songwriter music, post rock and Hip Hop.
My favorite movies are those, who touch the heart. (For example "Captain Fantastic" or "lady bird", great ones!)
when I am reading, it is mostly about other cultures, I am planning to meet, like Stories about Iran, Reviews about India...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I guess the most amazing thing I have done was to do the Vipassana Meditation in Indonesia. It was very challenging. But my trip through Iran was also very spectacular.
